The WCBA Bob Katz Summer Sectional will be held this year from July 9-11 at a new location for our unit. The event will be held at the Friendship Worship Center in Mt. Vernon and for the first time ever, players will have a CHANCE TO WIN A $10,000 BRIDGE CRUISE. The World Bridge Series Championships (WBSC), the world’s biggest and most prestigious bridge competition will be held in Philadelphia, PA, USA, October 1-16, 2010! It is the first such event to be held in the United States since 1994 and approximately 100 nations are expected to participate in the world series, represented by thousands of the world’s best players competing for world titles. Along with the WBSC, the American Contract Bridge League (ACBL) District 4 will be hosting a World Bridge Federation Regional tournament which will enable bridge players of all levels to share in the excitement! The World Youth Team Championships will also take place in Philadelphia at this time. ACBL & WBF Master Points will be given out for these events. This is a forum where local players can form teams and issue open challenges to other teams for matches to be played at local players' homes. Brad's team, the Killer B's has an outstanding challenge to any team composed of players with less than 2500 MP each and has already played one challenge (and won) and has another one scheduled.
